Because Authenticator now requires a two-digit code to confirm an approved sign-in, it is not compatible with Apple Watch. In a future update, Microsoft may remove the Apple Watch notification feature entirely, but until then it may still try to send notifications to your Apple Watch.
To turn off Apple Watch notifications for Microsoft Authenticator:
- Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
- Tap on “Notifications”
- Find “Authenticator” in the list of supported apps under “Mirror iPhone Alerts from:”
- Tap the switch next to Authenticator to “off” (a screenshot of the iPhone screen with this option set to “off” is attached)
