Enable Dictation (speech-to-text) on iPad

The built-in iPad keyboard can be used to turn spoken words into on screen text.

How to enable in iPad settings:

Go into Settings» General » Keyboard and then select "enable dictation. You may be get a pop up that says "Enable Dictation?" which you will want to allow by tapping on "enable dictation".

Here is the key on the keyboard that starts the iPad "listening" for dictation. The first time you tap on it, a pop will ask if you want to enable dictation. Choose "Enable Dictation". 🙂
